Production
If
given adequate support, agricultural production has potentials in
Rachaya al Foukhar thanks to its fertile soil and mild climate.
It can produce the following:
. Olive
production: unofficial statistics reveal that Rachaya al Foukhar
can produce up to 300 tons of olives per year. There are two olive
oil presses in town, the first owned by the sons of Hani Esper in
the western part of the village, while the second is owned by Bekai
and Asaad Elias Ghorayyeb.
. Grapes
and figs: due to negligence, this production decreased since the
late sixties, early seventies. However, this trend was reversed
since the eighties when many inhabitants started showing interest
in this field. Thus, Arak production witnessed an important increase.
. Cattle
production: there are eight farms in town.
